CSS Once Had a Different Name - Before it was officially named Cascading Style Sheets, the concept of CSS was initially referred to as "Style Sheets for HTML." The term "cascading" was added to highlight its capability to allow multiple stylesheets to influence a piece of content's appearance, with an established priority scheme to resolve conflicts.
